After fighting squatters for two years and finally, with Joe Homebuyer’s assistance, getting them evicted there was thousands of dollars in damage and the house was trashed. I will forever be grateful for the phone call I received from Bassim offering to buy my house. When I explained all the suffering I was going through he went to work helping me with the eviction. I worked with both Jonah and Jackson from Joe Homebuyer and I couldn't have been more pleased with the process. I was able to secure enough money in cash to both settle my Mortgage with Mr. Cooper & pay off NBT Bank for the solar panels. After that, I had 30K to deposit into my bank account and I'm just pleased as punch. It's so funny that Mr. Cooper and other places listed my house in Kearns as being worth $450K but when you really look at it and investigate it, that's a total fantasy. I got $240K. $10K less than I was hoping for but when it came down to brass tacks, with the shape the house was in, it was a very fair offer. Now, to the very best part. Two of my friends who lived in my house with me had a very rocky move and things totally came down to the wire on the very last day for all of us to be clear from the house. Not only did Jackson allow for us to be clear on Midnight of deadline day +1 and in doing so, did not penalize me for the hold over money, but he also gave my friend Charlotte 3 extra days once all of our stuff was clear, to attempt to secure her two cats. One of which disappeared from us until clearence day. We captured him that very day. The other decided to just disappear the day of and we couldn't find hide nor hair of her at all. It took weeks but eventually, as my friend Charlotte kept going back to the house periodically throughout the weeks, the day after Christmas, she went back and heard her cat meow. Called her name, got her secured and is now safe in her new place with her!! For Jackson and Jonah to both have the patience and compassion to allow for such an amazing Christmas gift to my good friend, I can't thank them enough!!!
